Some bizarre things are happening with birds in Texas, but particularly in Australia. WorldNetDaily is reporting that thousands of birds have dropped dead from the sky about 450 miles southeast of Perth. Even after autopsies, the deaths are a mystery but it does not seem weather related. Wildlife officials are calling it "catastrophic". Some of the birds were witnessed to be convulsing while dying.
Closer to home, about 60 birds fell out of the sky in Austin, Texas, in a similar mystery.
Avian flu and dangerous substances seem unlikely as the cause, as no trace of these could be found.
Officials believe poisoning or near-freezing weather is more likely the culprit for the Texas birds.
