The first known Fred Thompson 2008 rally is scheduled to be held right here in Cookeville, Tennessee. It is planned for Saturday, April 28, from 3:30 to 5:30, and is being jointly presented by the Putnam County Republican Party and Tennessee Congressman Zach Wamp. Guests and speakers of honor are already being scheduled and Mr. Wamp is confirmed, along with Nashville radio personality and former University of Tennessee basketball star Steve Gill. RSVPs are in from across the country, including South Carolina, Ohio, Florida, and Washington,DC. It is to be held in beautiful Dogwood Park, adjacent to the Putnam County Public Library and Cookeville City Hall.
