It's official! Former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson is now a real candidate for President of the United States in 2008! He announced his bid on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Wednesday. He followed that up with a trip to Iowa. Through the weekend, he is to travel to New Hampshire and South Carolina. Through next week, he plans to travel to Florida, then back to his hometown of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee late next week.
