BROWNBACK OUT

As you can see from my blog, I've been staying busy with other things and have not been able to post all that much.
Kansas Senator Sam Brownback is now out of the Republican race for President next year. A lack of money is to blame. A solid social conservative, he added a lot on those issues to the field this year. The primary benefactors of his exit will likely be former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, a fellow strong social conservative who has been taking off as of late, and former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson.
Brownback will remain the voice for social conservatives in the Senate after the loss of Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum last November. He looks to be a likely candidate for Kansas Governor in 2010.
