Drafting A General

A movement is under way to draft General Peter Pace to run for John Warner's Senate seat in Virginia next year. Warner is retiring the seat, and the GOP is looking for a good candidate to fill it. The Democratic candidate, former Governor Mark Warner, is widely expected to win over the two major expected GOP contenders, former Governor Jim Gilmore and Congressman Tom Davis. Another unexpected possible candidate is former Nixon and Reagan aide, TV commentator, and three-time Presidential candidate Pat Buchanan.

I believe Pace may do it, and he would be a good candidate. He could be a strong contender. He won my respect on his comments opposing sodomy as immoral twice this year. For those who don't know, he was Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff until stepping down October 1.

There is even a Facebook group attempting to draft him. If he runs, I would think strongly of endorsing him.
