A Good Memorial Day To You!
I want to wish all readers a blessed Memorial Day! I want to thank those who served in the armed forces for all the service they have done for us. America would not exist if it weren't for these great, heroic men and women! Although Google doesn't seem to be appreciative and doesn't honor Memorial Day, that doesn't mean that I can't take the opportunity to do what I can to show my honor of the armed forces.
The Dems Fear Fred!
"I can speak on behalf of many democrats, that he is the most frightening canidate we could face. He is telegenic, smart, a mainstream conservative, and he would work with the Republican base."

Fred Thompson Lays It Down To A Meeting Of Restauranters
Unannounced GOP Presidential candidate Fred Thompson spoke Sunday in Chicago at a meeting of the National Restaurant Association. In the speech, he predicted that the "bipartisan proposal" on immigration will fail and that it won't resonate with the American people. He also warned of the threat posed by China, and called the situation, "The Day After Iraq." In the speech, he said the idea that it is too late for him to jump into the race is "baloney", but he said that he has to jump in at the right time if he is to have a chance.

A Busy And Eventful Day...Let's Do The Headlines!
Today was a very busy day in current events. Immigration and conflict in Lebanon dominated. Let's just do some of the interesting headlines.
IMMIGRATION
Senate votes 69-23 to continue discussion on the "comprehensive immigration" issue.
AMERICAN GRASSROOTS POWER IS WORKING! Senate will wait until June to vote on immigration. Fingers doing the walking is working. Keep punching those numbers and keep the Senate switchboard on fire! Those trying hard to push this legislation wanted to ram it down the throat of the Senate before the Memorial Day recess. WE GOT 'EM CAVING FOLKS!
JOBS AMERICANS WILL DO! The meatpacking firm Swift & Company is back to full staffing levels again. This is the company that was raided and had 950 undocumented workers arrested on December 12, 2006. Who did they hire in place of the illegals? Need a hint? Try this...the answer is the workers that supposedly couldn't do those jobs.
Republican crowds in South Carolina cheered former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney's stance on the immigration compromise. At the same time, they booed native son Senator Lindsey Graham on his part of the sellout of America.
Also booed, Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss at the Georgia state GOP convention. Chambliss had a part in the sellout of America, as well. At the convention, former Tennessee Senator Fred Thompson was the overwhelming favorite in a straw poll for the 2008 Republican nomination for President. Thompson took 44 percent of the vote, while the Peach State's own Newt Gingrich took second with 18 percent of the vote.
LEBANON
Lebanon takes a stand against Al-Qaida in Tripoli. As a result, at least 50 of those combating were killed, along with an unknown amount of civilians. Two bombings in Beirut, including one at an office building, were part of the bloodshed as well.
GONE-ZALES?
RINO (Republican In Name Only) Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter foresees Attorney General Alberto Gonzales stepping down, possibly this week.
2008
Democratic New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson made it official today. He will run for the Presidency of the United States in 2008.
Florida will become an even more powerful force in the campaign, as Republican Governor Charlie Crist signed a bill to move the state's primary up to January 29. That is after only Iowa, Nevada, and New Hampshire vote and it is on the same day as the South Carolina vote. It is a week before the February 5th National Primary Day.

A DARK DAY FOR AMERICA!
Traitors in the photo:
Michael Chertoff-Homeland Security Secretary
Carlos Gutierrez-Commerce Secretary
Georgia Senator Saxby Chambliss (R)
Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson (R)
(sitting) Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy (D)
Today the U.S. Senate announced a "bi-partisan compromise" on illegal immigration. In a nutshell, it doesn't allow a trigger for financing of border defense, while it allows citizenship and amnesty for millions of lawbreaking illegal immigrants. IT WOULD BE A HUGE BLOW TO THE STOMACH OF AMERICA! A BLOW THAT WOULD KNOCK THE WIND OUT OF OUR BELOVED COUNTRY!
President George W. Bush and the White House are prasing this betrayal of America. The Democrats on the whole are staunch supporters of this tragic act. Worse yet, so are leading Republicans!
Here are the Republicans that I know of that need to hear the voice of the people. THEY NEED TO BE OPPOSED, HOPEFULLY IN A PRIMARY, AND NEED TO BE FIRED FROM THEIR JOBS IN THE SENATE BY THE PEOPLE!
~Jon Kyl, Arizona
~John McCain, Arizona
~Mel Martinez, Florida
~Saxby Chambliss, Georgia
~Johnny Isakson, Georgia
~Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania
~Lindsey Graham, South Carolina
I DON'T NEED TO WRITE THE DETAILS OF THIS ANTI-AMERICAN ACT. I CERTAINLY WON'T LINK TO THE MAINSTREAM PRESS ARTICLES. FROM THE FEW I HAVE SEEN, THEY SUGARCOAT THE TRAGEDY ALL OVER!
I WILL LINK TO A FEW SITES THAT TELL THE TRUTH OF TODAY'S, AND RELATED EVENTS.
A TRUE AMERICAN IN THE SENATE - JIM DeMINT (R) OF SOUTH CAROLINA - CALLS THE BILL AMNESTY. READ HIS PRESS RELEASE HERE!
From the EagleForum, here again is some good reasons why illegal immigration and amnesty is NOT good for America:
"Immigration touches every aspect of American lives. Tell your Senators you oppose any guest-worker/amnesty bill because it affects every aspect of your life including:
~Fiscal Responsibility: This bill will likely be the largest expansion of entitlement spending in Congress. Tax increases will be required to pay for services for the massive influx of unskilled and uneducated immigrants.
~National Security: Fraud will be rampant in any amnesty, as it was in the 1986 amnesty. How will any illegal alien prove they are who they say they are? We could be giving legal status, and potentially U.S. citizenship to those who wish to do harm to our country, including gang members who terrorize our neighborhoods.
~Healthcare: Hospitals are already overburdened with illegal aliens who use their services for routine treatment. Legalizing them will not alleviate the burden because many illegal aliens will be low-skilled workers and not have health insurance. Next step-national health insurance . . . Hillary-care anyone?
~Education: Classrooms are already overcrowded and bilingual education continues to be a failure. How can adding more pressure to the system be the answer? Local property taxes would be forced higher to pay for new schools, as well.
~Political Fallout: This bill will ensure the Republican Party becomes a permanent minority party because most illegal aliens will vote for the party of the welfare state-Democrats. All American lose when we are relegated to a permanent one party system."
TAKE ACTION NOW!
~Call Your U.S. Senators and Congressmen. Let them know that you don't support the sellout of America! You can find the websites and the numbers for your Senators right here. Here is the list of Congressmen by state. Find yours, visit his website, find his number, and give him a ring.
~Call the talk-radio host of your choice. Let millions listening know that America is too precious to fall to the graveyard of nations!
~Write to your newspaper's editorial section to let readers know why you don't want America to become a third-world country.
~Stay informed on the latest developments.
~Although you can't vote now, be sure to register, and then vote in the next election. Only vote for candidates who will continue to defend America and the
Constitution!
IT IS NOT TOO LATE TO STOP THIS NONSENSE! THIS BILL HAS NOT EVEN COME TO VOTE YET. JOIN US AS WE WORK ON THE GRASSROOTS SIDE TO HELP PRESERVE AMERICA!
GOD BLESS AMERICA, AND OUR EFFORTS TO HELP KEEP HER AS THE SHINING, LAWBIDING, CITY ON A HILL!

A Quick Thought On The Democrats Being The "Party Of The Little People".
The old urban legend has the Democratic Party being the "party of the little people". Well, this is a party that supports the horrific massacre of the innocent, both unborn and the elderly. At the same time, they support the invasion of lawbreakers into the country, replacing many of the jobs that "the little people", and the "little" U.S. citizens at that, should be holding. Abortion has massacred at least 42 million unborn, while at least 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants have waltzed across our borders (more recent estimates peg that at 32 million!) .
How about this idea? Why don't we end abortion, while allowing only immigrants in who will become U.S. citizens? If we allowed all of those 42 million babies to live, we wouldn't have to worry about a shortfall of American workers. Whoever accomplishes this goal will surely be the party of the "little people". The Dems are certainly NOT going down this road now.
THE DEMS ARE NOT THE PARTY OF THE "LITTLE GUY"!

Jerry Falwell: A Leader For God And Morality In Public Service (1933-2007)
Jerry Falwell, a TV evangelist-turned conservative political leader, passed away Tuesday at 73. He was found unconscious in his office at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. LU is one of his lasting legacies. It is still unknown exactly what the cause of his passing was, but it is suspected that a heart condition is to blame. Falwell had a history of heart problems.
Falwell was reportedly opposed to Christian involvement in government early on in his ministry. All that changed with the U.S. Supreme Court's 1973 decision on Roe vs. Wade. Soon afterward, Falwell became a leading voice for morality in America, and became known for his stands against abortion, homosexuality, pornography, and the ACLU. He was the founder of the Moral Majority in 1979. Within months, he led the drive to register 15 million new voters, and lent a huge hand to Ronald Reagan's victory in the Presidential election of 1980. He continued to be a strong leader for conservative Christians and for American morality up until his passing Tuesday. He was influential in the 2004 re-election of George W. Bush to the Presidency. In 2004, he founded the Moral Majority Coalition. This group's goals were to help get pro-life judges selected to the Supreme Court and to influence the 2008 Presidential election. An important lasting legacy was his 1971 founding of Liberty University in Lynchburg. This private university is an important institution in training young, conservative, moral minds.
He took a lot of fire for many statements that he had made. Of course, most of the fire came from liberals, feminists, socialists, and the immoral. However, he had a mostly clean slate when it comes to cheating on his wife or stealing from the church, sins that have plagued many TV evangelists in recent decades.
Although he was, of course, not a perfect man, he was a crucial early leader of the modern conservative Christian influence in American Politics. Although I do not know of him to have been a strict party man, he was one of the forerunning builders of the Republican Party in recent decades. He has a great and lasting legacy in the crucially important involvement of Christian conservatives in the political process. On part of his efforts, America continues to stand, and is not weaker than she could have been.
God bless you and rest your soul Jerry Falwell.
"If a man stands by this book, vote for him. If he doesn't, don't." Falwell in 1979 regarding candidates and the Bible.

YES! Schaffer to run in Colorado!
Courtesy of Wikipedia
Former U.S. Congressman Bob Schaffer has reportedly decided to run for the U.S. Senate in Colorado next year. He spoke to an audience of about 100 at a Lincoln Day dinner where at least two GOP officials report that he has announced his candidacy. However, to rain just a bit on the party, Schaffer himself denies to have announced a run for the Senate. Schaffer seems to be considered the frontrunner for the GOP in this seat. The Dems are uniting behind the candidacy of Congressman Mark Udall, a member of a popular Colorado political dynasty. Schaffer is a strong conservative and bears a record that shows such. The Conservative Statesman has already endorsed him, and now that it seems he is in the race, this blogmaster is very excited! We will watch this race closely, as will America. This will be one of the most important Senate races next year. Whoever wins will replace the retiring conservative Wayne Allard.

Pennsylvania House Speaker Endorses Thompson
Dennis O'Brien, Speaker of Pennsylvania's House of Representatives, has endorsed Fred Thompson in his likely bid for the Republican nomination for the White House next year, according to SavetheGOP.com. O'Brien is a Republican from near Philadelphia, and presides over a majority-Democratic chamber. He topped the former GOP speaker, John Perzel, in January, in which he was offered nomination by a couple of Dems, and he was supported by a few Republicans looking for reform, as well as most Dems. Most of the GOP members in the House, along with a few Dems, supported Perzel for another term.
According to SaveTheGOP.com:
"While O’Brien is relatively new to the circles of power in Pennsylvania politics, this is certainly a major endorsement and could help Thompson raise big money in Philadelphia."
The FredTrain is moving right along, chugging down the right track!

A GREAT DAY FOR FRANCE AND FOR AMERICA!
Monday will dawn on a new and shining day for France and for relations between the European nation and America. Conservative candidate Nicolas Sarkozy won a victory over socialist Segolene Royal in Sunday's Presidential election run-off. Mr. Sarkozy received just over 53 percent of the vote to Mrs. Royal's tally of just short of 47 percent with 85 percent turnout, highest in 40 years. Sarkozy is the son of a Hungarian immigrant who is not an American conservative, but is seen as an ally of the United States, is making strong U.S.-French relations a top priority in his administration. Royal was seeking to become France's first woman president.
With Angela Merkel leading Berlin's government, and Gordon Brown likely to take over leadership in London, Sarkozy's victory to lead Paris government could lead in a great friendly trio in Europe for the United States.
CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. SARKOZY AND WE HOPE THAT WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO STRONGLY IMPROVED RELATIONS WITH THOSE OF YOU IN FRANCE!

A DUO THAT WOULD EXCEL ~ THOMPSON AND SANTORUM
Here is my idea for the 2008 Republican ticket ~ Former Senator Fred Thompson of Tennessee and former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania. Why go through the fuss of having a conservative candidate with great leadership at the top of the ticket with a moderate at the bottom, or vise-versa. Both these candidates complement each other well. Both are conservative with strong leadership skills. They both know very well the dangers threatening our country, from the borders and from Islamofascism. They're both straight talkers. When they have something important to say, they say it and are not sorry if it is the truth. Thompson is stronger on foreign policy issues, while Santorum is stronger on social conservative issues. Santorum would not be a weak VP. Should the time come, God forbid, if Fred couldn't lead the country for a time, Rick could take the lead without much problem. It would, also, set up Rick for a Presidential bid down the road. The GOP could have a couple of good Presidential nominees for the foreseeable future. Sounds good to me!
Ronald Reagan was not excited about having George H.W. Bush as a running mate. That is fairly well known. It may be because H.W. was not really a strong conservative. Look at his record. Why should Fred have a problem with a liberal or a moderate by his side in the race. WHY SHOULD WE AS THE CONSERVATIVE VOTERS HAVE THAT PROBLEM! Santorum as the veep would be thrilling! A team that would appoint good judges, know how to deal with China, work to stop abortion, know how to solve the border situation and know how to deal with Islamofascists. That is only the tip of the iceberg. That sounds to me like what America needs at this crucial time in our history. We need good leadership that will preserve America and her strong values. The Thompson-Santorum duo COULD DO THAT! They could do it better than anyone out there now, except for Tom Tancredo and Duncan Hunter.
I ask Americans, especially bloggers and talk-radio hosts to join me in supporting Fred Thompson for President and encouraging him to choose Rick Santorum as his running mate. With influence, this could happen. These are challenging times for America. We need the leadership of these two gentlemen.
WE'LL BE FREDTASTIC WITH THOMPSON AND SANTORUM IN 2008!
